I have this feeling often. If I had to describe the sensation, it might be like trying to hold a lit firecracker in the palm of your hands — squeezing tightly so no smoke, sparks or explosive elements could get out. I know that I am incredibly blessed to be in place where I have access to my passion. I know I felt this all the time when I was on set working on the independent film No Boundaries. Making the shift from being impoverished to a financially self-sufficient artist. I do believe in the words of many spiritual teachers like, Dr. Dyer, who speak of living in an abundant universe.

After they survive this brush with death, Rachel goes home to count her blessings and finds a message on her answering machine from Dex saying that he hopes she comes to the Hamptons that weekend. Once there, absolutely nothing has changed. Darcy is still in the dark, Dex is still engaged, and Ethan is still an ass to Claire.

Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson star in the romantic comedy. Watch the movie trailer for ‘Something Borrowed’. In the film, friendships are tested and secrets come to the surface when terminally single Rachel (Goodwin) falls for Dex (Egglesfield), her best friend Darcy’s (Hudson) fiancé.

And I was right—the last time she was in a really good movie was in in Almost Famous. Either Hudson is remarkably tenacious, or she simply hates us and makes these movies to get back at us. Modern romantic comedies usually come one of two ways. Then, there are the others. Movies that are at best mediocre, and very often especially the past few years much worse than that, and usually as tough to remember as what you had for lunch three months ago.

Something Borrowed may prove to be an exception, since I doubt I will soon forget the frankly miserable experience of sitting through this witless, charmless, laughless and strangely mean-spirited tale.

All of her life, the serious, studious brunette has played second fiddle to her irrepressible and self-centered friend Darcy Kate Hudson. Now six years later Dex and Darcy are preparing to waltz down the aisle with Rachel as the ever-sacrificing maid of honor doing all the boring wedding work—like writing the vows. I’m not naive I know Obama will do somethings I dont agree with and I know he cannot turn water into wine but I believe he and we can all make a difference and hope we all do. Poltz for your contributions and getting the word out there and making a difference in this election. I landed in Sydney from Singapore on a Qantas flight last night and just before we disembarked the captain made the announcement that Obama had won the election and the plane erupted in applause!

But what if something borrowed is the groom? Colin and Kate also talked about the challenges of condensing a best-selling novel into a feature length film while remaining true to the original characters and they mentioned the possibility of doing a sequel. Who do you see this person as? I saw her as similar to a couple of people I know who are always fun to have around. You love to have them around because they make for a good time.

Apr 29,  · The setup: Ginnifer Goodwin, of “He’s Just Not That Into You” fame, plays Rachel, an insecure lawyer who, during law school, had a crush on fellow student Dex (Colin Egglesfield).

Real life, however, is far less lascivious, as Goodwin prepares for her upcoming nuptials to actor Joey Kern. I first read the script and could not put it down. It was a wonderful guilty pleasure. I was afraid on some subconscious level that I would reveal some of those qualities, or something I wanted to save for the sequel. So I have not yet read that one. The film is already generating a lot of buzz.

What Do The Critics Say? Hudson and Goodwin have great chemistry together. Krasinski does the best acting job and steals every scene he appears in. The cinematography, scenic New York locations and a romantic soundtrack are added bonuses.

Goodwin plays Rachel, a sweet-natured, ambitious single woman in her 30s who has always been overshadowed by her best friend, the blonde, sexy, outgoing Darcy (Hudson). After a rare night of heavy drinking, Rachel sleeps with Darcy’s fiancee Dex (Colin Egglesfield), on whom she’s had a crush ever since they attended law school together.

But whether or not acting on the feelings is right or wrong, all actions have consequences and sacrifices must be made to achieve happiness. But as Rachel is leaving a short time later, Dex returns to fetch the purse Darcy inadvertently left behind. Instead of getting the purse and immediately returning home, he and Rachel decide to go to another bar for a few drinks.

Soon they are making out in the back of a taxi. Will the gorgeous — and Egglesfield is absolutely, breathtakingly gorgeous — intelligent man choose the cute, down-to-earth lawyer or the shallow, life-of-the-party blonde? Wait, there is a whole movie devoted to this? Goodwin is tall and slender with big green eyes, long legs, and a pixie face. Of course, finding a truly chubby, plain but sweet leading lady in Hollywood may be a difficult task.

Regardless, now the gorgeous leading man has to choose between beautiful and intelligent and beautiful and shallow. But beyond the incongruous casting, my real problem with the movie stems directly from the fact that it was adapted from a novel. Even their first kiss seems forced and rushed, and throughout the movie, they fail to elicit any emotion from the audience.

It was a wonderful movie that I think she be rated 10 outta Maybe not the best movie for kids because of the sexual things: Three months into rehearsals, indie stalwart Sarah Polley bowed out from “Almost Famous” where she was was set to play the role of a legendary rock groupie. Citing her own personal realization that she wasn’t the sort of girl who could light up a room as the reason for quitting on the spot, Kate Hudson originally slated to play William Miller’s sister Anita took over the role of Penny Lane from the maverick actress, parlaying this piece of manna from heaven into an Academy Award nomination.

Polley was wrong, of course. She could be an aurora, if pressed.
